We got about an inch of heavy snow last night on top of an excellent base. Temperatures warmed up above freezing today with some rain this evening. Expected to drop to freezing tonight and all major trails will be tilled with the area's heavy equipment in the morning.
Narrow trails had a first pass today with a snowmobile pulling a 36" wide groomer, leaving a nice corduroy surface. These will be groomed again tomorrow. Forecast for Thursday is for partly sunny weather reaching the mid-30's.
And it's now snowing in Presque Isle.
Many thanks to our Canadian friends for pushing some cold air just far enough south to accommodate us. Per the weather radar, the rain/snow line isn't too far south of here.
