I meant to comment on this earlier. I enjoyed reading this dietary analysis. I find that completely cutting out this stuff is the most efficient way to drop pounds, but I end up rebounding BADLY after a while and then go crazy on the junk. Finding the right balance of how many treats to enjoy and when seems to be the hardest part.

For sure....but having an oasis will be helpful. I am about 18# from my goal weight I think, and once there, I think I will still have to maintain some assemblance of this. I can't ignore that my heart rates don't run as high (which means I think I can put forth more effort? Need to check RHR again) and hunger comes slowly. BUT! Once I am in the hole, even after eating I do feel hungry for at least a half hour. So, like racing, I try to avoid getting in the hole.

So, in short, I am taking Easter off, and then back at it the next day. I am also thinking about 8+ hour races I may not be as strict. EG, have gu, shot blocks, clif bars, jerky and such things at the ready if the all natural options aren't working.
