It'll be a pr for that age bracket in any case. Good luck.

Did I tell you about the 98 yr.old that got a world record for the 1500 in Albuquerque...for finishing? No 98 yr old had apparently ever attempted an indoors 1500. Talk about picking your races. And actually his time was faster than a lot of the general population could manage, around 16 minutes.

Ha ha! I would have liked to see his performance! Agonizingly slow...just like me!

it was slow compared to younger runners, but it was running in its own right. In a masters meet, such a performance is not only tolerated but appreciated - he probably got more applause than any other athlete during the whole meet.

And since you say you would have liked to see his performance...here it is http://www.usatf.tv/gprofile.php?mgroup_id=45365&m...

if your impatient you might want to go to minute 16 for the finish. And it does look suspiciously like walking, you just have to look at it w/ 98 yr old glasses and it turns into running.

At WMOC there are usually a few over 90 competitors, and maybe 1 M-95. Pretty impressive and they get a bit of attention.
