You don't happen to have a copy of the longest course, do you? I would have kind of liked to run it but my legs said no, today.

I don't think there was a single map left. We ran out of maps then had to hand draw more courses on blank maps! It was pretty hectic. I can probably email it to you??

Sure, thanks, if you already have a PDF, but don't need to if it's more complicated than that. (Tj have run a bit low on course maps at other events before, haven't they? These days it costs no more to print an extra copy of a course than it does a blank map....)

Or the Purple Pen course file + map file would work too. I probably won't get to run it before Easter anyway, so maybe we can both go out & run that course some other time. Was thinking that for a truly retro event people could all have been made to mark up their own maps :) And then I remembered how on rogaines we used to just be given grid coordinates and had to put all the circles plus points on to the survey map by hand!

Sounds like there were lots of people there, which is something I always like to see.

Yeah, we can probably run the course some time. It would have been good if people marked their own maps but 3/4 of the people were new to orienteering and were part of the 'bright sparks science group' or part of the park open day and we didn't want to over whelm them. A regular orienteer at the start showed me her compass which had a small circle which can be used to draw control circles with!
Those rogaines sound hard!!! I wonder what rogaines will be like 50 years from now??
Defintely was busy Blair. One of the biggest events in SA in a while.
