I think the heartrate data is bogus. I'm using an FR225 which has a wrist-based sensor. It seems to take the first kilometer or so before it locks in and gives believable readings. I think my max HR is about 165, so the 177 reading isn't real and the average is skewed higher than it actually was. I wasn't really trying to run hard on this particular outing. See you at the Pig - along with a bunch of pretty speedy M60s (and not including some speedy ones who were at the BAOC meet this past weekend). Should be a good time.

I also get bogus high HR's for most of my runs in the winter for the first 500-1000 meters. Weird, because it's recording the correct resting HR before I start. I usually check the split times to see what the real max HR was and change it on my log.

I'm not one of the speedy M60's, but I'm looking forward to competing with you both at the Pig!
