Discussion: Smartphone

I'm guessing you'll think it a smart move. Additionally, it's too expensive to not use or lose...ie, these 2 things are leading to my last and best compilation of elusive "contacts":-).

It was so hard to get over the cost, plus the cost of the service, but I was also reluctant to fall way behind what's happening now.

My phone was $505, 24 mos spread out. So far, I'm making do with 300mb data ea month - a leftover fm an earlier contract. I use wifi as much as possible. I was introduced to a free data consumption app fm the Apple store which is most helpful when not buying into unlimited data. My biggest data drain has been driving directions in new places, eg, recently California. The utility of "exactly where and how much more to turn, destination etc" can be impressive/seductive - but there are frugal ways to employ that too. Next lesson perhaps.
