Sounds like jumpers knee to me.. Stretching your quads and hip can help you to get rid of it :)

Sam has bash you knee into a rock knee, but I agree that massage, and stretching will help it heal.

But maybe I've started the process towards jumpers knee. More foam rolling is always the answer!
