Calves apparently stabilize when hips are funny. And piriformis is often also involved. Hmmmm...definitely worth mentioning all. Good luck!
Thanks! The calf thing has been pretty consistent for the last few years, while the hip pain is relatively recent (only became an issue about a year ago), but I suspect that the calves were trying to tell me there was something wrong with my hip biomechanics all along. Feeling my piriformis release and having immediate relief of my calf tightness a few weeks ago pretty much confirmed (to me, at least) that all of my aches and pains are related. Now all I have to do is convince the doc to give me a referral to the sports medicine clinic at Annapolis- I hear that place is awesome.
Oooh, sounds wonderful. Good luck! Fit to win at the Pentagon is also pretty awesome...will film you running, then play with your core to find muscle imbalances that contribute. Pretty cool stuff.
