A little challenge for you and George in "the land of pasta and gelato": Best pasta dish I've ever had was the Bucatini all Amatriciana at Ristorante Anni Cinquanta, via Flavia 3, Rome. Eat that and try losing weight!

Nancy, Stephen, and I are going to Rome at the beginning of July, I'll see if I can get them to go there.

We'll look for it, but it's the other side of town and there are so many wonderful restaurants in Rome! We ate at this place last night. Wonderful. Lovely staff, too. I had made a reservation for 7:30, but showed up apologetically at 8:30 because George's plane had been delayed. They had saved our table, greeted us warmly. The food was excellent, from the menu and also daily specialties. Tagliolini with fresh sardines was particularly excellent. Also artichokes prepared two ways, alla romana and alla giudea.
