As some of you are aware, Cambridge Street Upper School and Cambridge Ringe and Latin School each sent a team to the US Interscholastic Champs last weekend. Of the nine athletes, eight were new to orienteering at the national stage, and they had been training just one month before being thrown to the wolves! They performed admirably, with the JV team taking first in that class and the Internediate team taking the silver in that class.

This is a bunch of smart, motivated, fit kids. Many of them would like to do more orienteering, and there is an abundance of racing available the spring in New England, but entry fees pose a barrier. Would anyone be willing to "sponsor" one or more of the athletes to go to one or more of the following races? If so, please contact Barb Bryant (Barb for Bryant at gmail) for details on how to become a sponsor. Thank you!

CSU spring Park race series ($40 season pass)
NEOC Troll Cup ($54, reg closes Wednesday!)
West Point/jr team trials ($44, spaces already reserved)
Boston Sprint Camp ($140/$80 for sprint camp full/lite, reg opening soon)
Billygoat (tbd, reg opening soon - good one for the speedy Highschool kids!)

Thank you!
