Shame you didn't feel great though. It seemed hard to eat etc (even at my speed) because of the downhillness in the second half. I had at least 9 jelly babies though, you should try the new berry ones.

Well done Zanthe, you were making it look easy!

Thank you! Definitely could have done with some sugar for the last 2 miles - I'll try the berry ones and see if I can cope with them!

Woooo, well done on the win! Not sure if it works the same at sub 7 min miles, but stop trying to chew jelly babies, just let them dissolve in your cheeks! That was Tim's number 1 bit of advice in the ITERA, worked wonders :-)

Yeah I agree with Lucy I can't deal with chewing. Either boiled sweets or gels for me but then I was carrying a bottle of squash too on my run. But at my end of field it doesn't matter about loss time.

Impressive running Zanthe, far quicker than I could manage (but I can eat and run at the same time!).

I thought it was men who couldn't multitask, but I can eat and chew as well!

Well done Zanthe, excellent stuff!

thanks! Lucy I guess being able to eat is slightly more important when your race lasts 5 days :) I will try the dissolving technique - sounds less effort than chewing!
