Discussion: the two things that really impressed me

1 - the way you guys worked your way back up the field throughout the course
2 - in the latter part of the Red Hills trek there was one particularly bold, direct route choice which seemed to really pay off.

1 - The reason we kept working our way through the field was because we made lots of mistakes! We were fast but stupid....hopefully lessons learnt.
2 - Other people have mentioned being impressed by this. My "bold and agressive" route choice was actually me being stupid again and thinking there was no way that the mtb track not marked on the map would go where I wanted it so I may as well straight line it through the bushy gorge in the dark instead. Seemed like a good idea at the time, actually lost us about an hour and a lot of energy...
