what's Brommelsiek like, comparable St. Louis park? thinking about going to the O meet on Saturday.
It's about 500 acres and was a family farm for many years but the owners were into conservation, so the land is patches of pasture/field interspersed with mature woodlands -- about 50/50. There is also a 15-ish acre lake and a few smaller ponds. It's not super hilly -- more of a rolling topography. There's about 7 miles of multi-use trail (primarily singletrack) open to hiking/running, MTB and equestrian. There's also several miles of mowed grass paths - mostly for equestrian I believe. It's a very horsey part of the county. The infrastructure is all pretty new. There are no soccer or ball fields so it's a very quiet park. There is a nice little visitor center, a sort of outdoor "agriculture museum", astronomy viewing area (very low light pollution here!), and a dog park w/ dedicated lake for the pooches. I plan on coming Sat. w/ the kiddos - 1 mile from our house so no excuse. Hope to see you there!
ok, thanks for the great description. Gonna try and get there.
