Enjoy. Spent a couple days there waiting for the skies to clear enough for the planes to land or takeoff when all was pretty socked. They didn't have much in advanced nav aids back then. Was there for a couple hours worth of business meetings, but got stretched out afterwards. After going back and forth to the airport a few times hoping something might be flying, finally got on a plane as the last passenger only to see several empty seats about.

Always tried to enjoy a pint of Guinness at the airport. The best ever.

Dublin? Too bad it isn't Shannon. I spent six months in Shannon. I could recommend Bunratty Castle for a few pints, a turf fire, and a few amateur Irish tenors singing 'Danny Boy' at the bar.

Dublin is much more cosmopolitan. I used to hang out around St Stephens Green...must be fifty Irish bars within a few blocks!

Irish bars, in Dublin?

Next time you have a few hours (and some euros) to kill, perhaps a taxi out to Howth and a stroll by the sea.

That would be more interesting. There is talk that Aer Lingus is going to start direct flights from Hartford in September, which would be pretty motivational for me. This was all so unexpected that I had no plan in mind. Plus not all that much time.

Oh cool (ignoring the environmental issues)! That could be useful!
