thanks for your log, it's very interesting.
I have a question for you :
“Delivering the best of our potential right on time” is critical for all high-level sports, and for orienteering of course. Here I am not really talking about when you run Enenracet, but when it comes to WOC races :) The dimension of the stake can be overwhelming for the athlete, or at least disturbing enough to give her/him troubles to stick with her/his optimal behaviour. Some runners show great potential at trainings or local/mid-size events, but seem to crash under the “pressure” of the big event ; when some others don't, or some even seem to step up when it matters.
How do you work on that / deal with that, and make sure that you will run your WOC race at 100% of your capacities ?
1/ During the whole year ?
2/ Just before the race ?
3/ During your race ?
Thanks for an interesting question. Though, it will take me quite much time to answer this question and will come back here later this week hopefully.
P´tain, tu fais chié mec, ça va me prendre 15 jours de répondre à ce genre de question. A ce rythme là, mon livre je ferais mieux de l´écrire sur attackpoint... ; )
