The 3 hour drive here was long enough!
Waterfall tourism now afterwards.

Rain at 6:30 this morning so I wimped out. Woke up again at 9:30 so I think that says it all.

And judging from results and pics there were a lot of wimps today - or clear thinking people. Only 165 at Newy!

It poured on the way up from Branxton through to Singleton. It said on NBN news they had 55 mm in short time and lots of roads had minor flooding and trees strewn across the road. People had stopped on the side of the highway to wait it out.

The main park in town centre of Singleton was fenced off as infested with bats and they have killed nearly every tree in the park. Also their combined weight had broken many of the trees branches. So hazardous to the public by viruses, droppings and falling branches. It was surprising to see the change in the park from the last time I drove through approx 5 years ago.

It poured briefly in Tamworth around 9 pm but was clear skies in the morning.

It was cold with some drizzle after 1 pm when closer to Armidale but never had heavy rain.
