I asked myself - is it fun? Looked at my schedule and it was tempo, with speedwork tacked on and thought...not only will trail run meet that description but it will be a welcome change of venue. so i signed up for may 5.
I'm sure it will be fun. But I ask myself - will I reignite my hip problem. I really want to do the 50 again this fall. Running a race at anything but 'as fast as I can go' pace is very hard for me. As in, never done it. I'm going to decide last minute. If it sells out, then no loss. If I decide not to run, or can't get in, I'll probably volunteer.
I'm definitely not running, but I might also volunteer after the semester ends.
