It was a Lidar map Will, no fake wiggles on this map now, surely?
Mmm maybe, but they were still rather wiggly. From winsplits it looks like a few folk had problems, but then again a control on a crag approached from above will always be difficult. The issue was more trying to work out which crags were mapped.
That control was always going to split the field. 25 minutes of fast 'flat' running in very visible terrain, then you have a big climb and a drop down to a crag on a slope full of crags. The map was fine from every direction I tried - without a tired brain in oxygen debt though!
As you say - the contour shapes were clearer on the 10,000 map, but they were right in my opinion.
