but for some s. hemisphere interloper you'd be British and Northern Champ. Good luck at the VHI ;-)

The boy is back where he belongs! Five years ago, at Wharnecliffe, I remember you were pipped for 3rd by Jon Cross. Two heart ops and a lot of training later and you are on the podium. I'm very pleased. And not a little envious.

Excellent result; I share your view on the contours: when I was busy losing 8 minutes, nothing seemed to fit; I'm sure I'm not that bad at O! :-)

But - good navigators don't mess up & they know when to take more care.....

Ditto at #11 in the relay. The contours didn't help me at all.
And what was going on with the brown wiggly bits around #16? They certainly weren't on the old map...

(just had a quick look and there were *some* wiggly bits on the previous map, but not as many)

Well done. When I grow up I want to be Neil Conway.

Who let you near the White Rose? I thought you were banned.

WE should all have a White Rose re-union some time, looking forward to initiating my son when he's a teenager ;-)
Congratulations Neil - perseverance!

Thanks everyone.
I don't think I'm back where I belong yet. Bill still beat me by five minutes. I'll have to persevere some more.

there's a gap still to be closed, to be sure - but last year you were 17th, one place and only 45secs ahead of me, so you've travelled a long way in the right direction since then
