The rehearsal was great fun! Unfortunately, this chorus isn't right for me, mostly because I feel socially awkward there. If I could site read, I would have many more options than I do. I wish Mother had gotten me to take piano lessons when I was a kid. I often wonder why she didn't, given the fact that her Dad was a professional pianist and choirmaster (in addition to being a medical doctor).

The new chorus that I found is awesome. I feel at home with them. It's clear that the choirmaster and the other singers really know what they are doing. At the same time, they are very nice about the likely obvious fact that I have no formal training or experience. They give me super-friendly guidance and support. I am very excited to be a part of this chorus and very much hope that they like me.
