The Skelligs, maybe? The Ring Of Kerry is basically set up to fleece American tourists.

Yep for a bargain price of 60 Euro you can take a 3-4 hour boat trip plus an hour or so to walk up to the monastery ruins on the Skellig Island. Alternatively if as the tourist brochure says "you are pushed for time" you can do the three hour option where you just take a boat to the Island and back with no landing.

Neither option has grabbed us so off for a walk as the there is a heat wave, might make 20 deg and the sun is out.

I did that boat trip to the Skelligs (and the landing and wander) back in about '99 - calm sunny day, I think the only sunny day I had there, hence seizing the moment. Worth doing, and the puffins were a highlight!
