Carbon's Offset:
Wow, sorry to hear about the failure on the carbon bike.

Meh, call it field testing.
At least it wasn't a major frame failure or something, it just needs a stronger mount machined up and bolted on. That's exactly why I wanted 2 bikes.

I was wondering if the rear shock mount would get used again. Do you need the shipping box? I haven't tossed it in the dustbin yet.

Or was it the under seat rear shock mount that broke? I was assuming the back of seat rear mount. The later might leave the bike still rideable.

Only a small part needs to be re-made. Fortunately, the whole bike doesn't need to go!

It's the underseat mount. It's aluminum bolted to the frame. I could get one machined here, but John will make me a stronger one.

I could use the rear mount for gentle riding if I was stuck but don't trust it for hard hits.

If needed, I can help with delivery until you go to Europe. I expect to be finished before you get back.

Much appreciated, but it's just a piece that fits in your hand. I'll mail it.
