You're doing mondo hours. Which is great.
Body taking it all okay?
Yep, a week road trip with another runner couple that visited us from Vancouver (they are generally pretty matched in speed to Thomas and me). Body seems ok with more lower intensity hours, time for a bit of a taper to Tiomila now! The acute injury I sustained should not have much effect on running - I managed to step on a rock that rolled out from under me while going down a steep hill and put my hand out in a way where I ended up spraining a finger...
Hope it wasn't your map hand!
Left hand, but one of the lesser fingers (the ring finger)... only the thumb and the index are crucial really ;)
Looks like an awesome week of running! I might steal some of them to do as tourist runs :) Although "To Waterfall" may take a bit of sleuthing to track down the route ;)
And good accuracy in sacrificing your ring finger and not a vital orienteering finger!!
Thomas's log might have some GPS tracks :)
Or maybe you can figure some of it out from our shaky cell phone video I edited together:
Good luck at 10mila! (very close to my home terrains).
Have you changed club?
Yep, to the club that is coached by our current national team coach. Will I see you at tio Henrik?
Nice video, but Christer Sandelin is a Swede you know... ;)
Yeah, but it was on the radio when we were driving and I liked it ;P
Ah, great! But Thomas is left in Nydalen?
Yep, I will be there! Probably I will come out for the first leg of the women relay then go to our base camp.
For now we are in different clubs again, yes.... but his brother switched to my club ;)
Nice to hear! Say hi to Coach Brunberg, old friend of mine. See you in Falun!
What leg are you running Henrik?
