Just be aware there's a small mineshaft between the tip and the water tanks - I nearly fell in the damn thing myself. It'll hurt a bit more than tripping over the fence (ya big klutz :p)

Did you map it? Or put Eureka Orienteers' style blue tapes nearby? (I didn't see it).

Of course I mapped it, yeesh. :)

It's on there as the black 'V' symbol (rocky pit). Quite hard to see on the ground, only really visible from a couple of metres away thanks to the undergrowth - which also raises the possibility that there might be more of them in the area that I didn't find.

Ah, I just went through the RO of course so no undergrowth. I wonder what they were hoping to find on a granite outcrop?

Just like the mine shaft on the Carinyah map. No idea what you'd find in the middle of a watercourse!
