Pink Socks:
Have you always driven a manual? All of my cars have been, but I'm thinking of going over to the dark side for my next one (not right now, but in a couple of years).

I find manuals annoying to drive in heavy traffic, and Seattle has plenty of that!

I'm thinking about installing an aftermarket rearview camera in my car. Twisting around in the seat to see out the back gets less pleasant every year and backing up with just the mirror is a sure way to run over something (or, much worse, someone).

@PinkSocks, yes I have always driven a manual. I feel more in control of the car. We don't have much traffic in Lawrence, and most of my commute is on the highway, so that manual is not a problem for me,

@ebuckley: I'm still learning to look at the rear view display. New habit is hard to form, but I suppose I 'll learn it soon enough

It's a well-known fact that with an automatic transmission you do not drive the car, the car drives you.

I'm fine with that. The sooner everybody switches to self-driving cars, the safer the roads will be for runners and bikes.
