xoxoxo get better xxoxoxoxo
Bummer. I am sending positive thoughts.
Darn those calves. Feeling your pain.
Thanks. Still not right, but fingers crossed. Race chatter on Facebook is getting intense.
whatever happens I'm really proud of what you've accomplished this year.
I concur. Are you going to give it a try?
Aw, thanks, guys!!
I'm going up no matter what, and will make the call as late as 5am race start. Good practice packing, getting ready, etc. Then if I don't race, I'll do support wherever they need me, take pictures, whatever.
I look forward to hearing about it. It looks like a lot of elevation change. Do you know what the footing is like? I was surprised how the rocks and roots for my 50 miler really slowed things up.
It's apparently a very very slow course, with a good bit of rock. 60% drop rate last year! Plenty of rocks, but I think more scrambling larger rocks than the loose rocks of Hyner. I really hope to take on the challenge, and put my plan into effect.
I was surprised by the 19 hour time limit. I wish you the best and hope that you are able to compete and complete. Are you going to have live track active?
Thanks a lot. I think the time limit is park-permit related, but not sure. Since you LiveTracked Karl, and it was SO MUCH FUN, I will, too. I'll post to Facebook at 5am!
One thing I learned was that I had to start the live track when I had cell phone reception even though I did not start the activity. I am looking forward to following you.
Cool, good tip. It will also be possible to follow here, if I muff the LiveTrack:

My calf is perfectly on the fence. Unless the drive wonks it, I'll likely make the attempt, to salvage the series points. Plenty of folks to have fun with.
