Have you noticed you were among the three best times on the leg to #11 (172)? I lost you about halfway round in your story but that may have been the road run since that´s what Henrik Löfås thought was the fastest route and he seems to have been leading your group for a while.

I had never seen the splits until now, and I'm a little surprised by that. I really thought going straight was a better choice, and we went to the road again. But the approach from the road and then up along the veg. boundary and over the hill with the tower (the same one I had used to relocate on the mega-long leg), made the control quite easy. Whereas the direct route was maybe more difficult.

Pleasant surprise to see that, though. And unpleasant to see just how much time we wasted on 9 by going around on the road.

Knowing that most of the teams with GPS went straight with just about the same time, maybe the difference between the two alternatives wasnt that great after all.
Still a good split for you!
