That guy was a Saturday (Scouts) runner and there was an issue with his splits to begin with - it showed the start punch being after the finish punch, which is of course not possible. We had several others that had this problem and were off by one hour (some kind of DST issue?) and at the time correcting it by an hour seemed to make sense based on when he claimed he started and what time he was standing in front of us to download. But looking at the splits now, it sure seems impossibly fast for the beginning. If we could have seen those probably it would have been noted there was still an error.

There were a few additional issues with cards not cleared and the first few runners not punching start. But this is the only one it appears wasn't quite sorted out right.

Julie: Thanks for clearing that up. Evidently his flux capacitor malfunctioned. He would have to have run the first six controls at a pace of well under 5 min./km. Not likely, especially given the pace of rest of his run. Thanks for indulging the immature Mac. See you in the woods.
