Sounds like you worked hard to keep things under control and you succeeded. Your time was close to your estimate on a day when most people slowed down a lot, regardless of what distance they were running. No wonder you like hot weather! ;)

Well I don't like that hot of weather! 24C with no humidity sign me for 365 days a year for that. Although I'll still take yesterday over any day we had from Nov to March :)

It was nice to feel good about a race again, after Colorado I was pretty low about enjoying running races. Slowest time doing this race but still happy with the result. Morale of the story - start conservative - probably won't get you a PB but certainly more enjoyable.
