Nice swim, I think it'll be a little while more for me to hit the open water and I even have a wetsuit!

So you biked there and then swam, locked your bike up? Was it at Burlington Beach?

Yes, I locked up my bike just south of the hospital at one of the first beach areas. The temperature wasn't bad and I think it is going to warm up fast. After I got in I thought I wouldn't last more than 5-10 minutes, but I swam towards the lift bridge and the water was warmer out that way. You should get out soon. I'd rather enjoy the swimming now while it is still a little chilly than wait until later when we may get elevated e.coli. levels, algae blooms, etc. Or maybe that beach stays relatively clean all season?

Let me know if you're interested in joining me. I'd like to start going a couple mornings per week. Sunday afternoon was a bit of a zoo with plenty of moored boats and some jet ski activity. I'd rather go earlier and hopefully avoid the jet skis. I'd like to try the pier-to-pier swim later in the summer, but after Sunday I think it might be a bit scary midday with the boat traffic.

Good point about the increasing bacteria probability as the season progresses. AM might be a bit tough for me to do this due to my carpool but if I WFH won't be as much problem. I'll be wetsuiting it though!
