Bags: old is Eli? I ran 4:49 at the regional's or district over at Denfield /Defeld (sp? can't remember anymore) then 4:49 for last at state in St. Paul June 10, 1972 (went home that day and found out moving to Colorado...ugh)...I was 16 yrs 9 months old...youngster for a jr. I'm guessing he's 15?

Great times and I love all 4 names on the girls relay team...different in a very eloquent nice way...the adjuster up in Tulsa named his son Eli also...I like that name. For some reason even though James was kinda a overused name and in the past if you were a James you were called Jim or Jimmy or Jimster...ok not Jimster...haha...but James was just James right away...not some kids version then turning into 'James' as he got older.

Hope you are doing okay. Seems like you are dropping your pace slowly but surely...Tues will be 45 years since Summer of 1971...1003 mile summer...hard to believe.

Koski the cost of college these days is ridiculous...I do not know how people do it with 3 and 4 kids much less even two...

Good luck to the kids in their next races...

Eli just turned 15. He was really mad that he didn't get a 4:48, his goal. I'm just glad he's setting goals... he's not driven like Phoebe.
Denfeld. And remember, we were running a full mile, and on cinders. A 4:49 back then would be about a 4:43-4 at 1600 on all-weather track.
I'm feeling a bit better. Sneaking in some light track stuff. But I have to start being really careful. It's super hard for me not to go all-out and chase faster times. I still don't feel good at a fair pace on the road though. Sluggish and slow.
