If you like. It was my own shorthand puzzle. Not nearly as obscure as EB's.

Very good. I was trying to decide what route to do when it occurred to me that a round trip of that course would be just the right distance. And I was already a half mile into it.

Whats your opinion on how best to run it? Go all out, hope you have enough left at the end?...start conservatively to save something for the uphills?...even pace it? Do they have mile markers up? any clocks on course?

They do have mile markers but I'm not convinced they are spot on. No clocks that I remember seeing, but maybe?

I think if you cook yourself early, the final climb will put a hurt on you. There are a couple of short, subtle inclines that factor as well. I don't know what the best strategy is, I haven't figured it out yet.

The elevation profile shows 3 distinct uphill spikes after Mary Queen of peace. I think the artist had too much coffee or something. Really there's just the one big one in the curve as you approach rock hill.

I guess my feeling is I'm shot at that point anyway, whether hill or not, so might as well go for it, and just survive the last few hundred meters.

Elevation profile from the garmin should be visible with my run late week

There are 3 'peaks' but two are trivial. The bigger one is the killer because you can't see the actual top. You blast up the first part and then get to the remaining (and steeper) part just as your heart rate and breathing are maxing out.
