| Bash: | I was at a conference a couple of weeks ago where a cell phone went off while a well-known physician was speaking. Everyone in the audience of 250 people had that "cell phone glare" on their faces as they looked around for the perpetrator. After all, we'd been warned to shut our phones off when the speaker took the podium. After several rings, someone in the front row politely put up his hand and asked the doctor whether it was OK if he removed the phone from her purse and turned it off. Whoops! |
