Discussion: Music and Rochester

I've got a bunch of music that reminds me of Rochester. There's one album from The Faint that is firmly locked in my memory with a friend of a friend's place that I went to one day during my last year, yet whenever I hear it I remember everything about her place. Take The A Train is backstage at the Eastman concert hall, before the Ellington Prism concert. There's a couple tracks by Tool that are basically reminders of all the time on CIF.

And coincidentally, today I've brought out both the trombone and cello...never too early t start practicing for Burning Man...

I saw the Grateful Dead at the Palestra (twice!), and talked to Phil Lesh on the steps outside before one of the concerts. He wanted to know where the nearest pharmacy was.

I've seen Phish twice, and have a ticket to see them in July. The second time I saw them was an interesting story which I won't relate here.

My daughter and her husband are complete Phish Phanatics. They seem to have been to every concert since forever. Earlier on he would tape their sessions and has racks and racks from then. Put any song on. They can name it, tell when and where it was played. Otherwise quite sensible people though he's from Vermont which might explain some of it.
