Sorry to hear Phoebe felt bad...I think I lose lots of iron sweating and take a suppl about 5 times a week...if I go several days and don't take one I seem to become sluggish...

Anyway sorry to hear it was not one of those magical days of victory and glory...but she made it. Did you get to go? Was it at the same place we had state in '72 (hopefully not the same track surface...although most of the road surfaces in Okieland are probably the same surfaces...actually they finally redid a road down at The Farm that may have been 60 yrs old or more...weird to think it had been driven thousands of times by my grandparents decades ago before it was finally redone long after they all had died.

You mention Hartley...that's a different place than rock hill isn't it? I know the name is different of course but sometimes a place has more than one name (the main street behind our house has 3 names...Edmond Road, 2nd street (for Edmond) and 178th street for OKC (they overlap).

Driving through neighborhood after church saw two runners...the triathlete guy that lives 2 blocks away had finished a run and looked wiped out by the humidity and another guy that strangely enough was dressed almost like him drinking and walking a lot further than I did between my jogging/strides. And he even had a water bottle with him which is what the triathlete does also...carries a water bottle if the least bit warm...I probably should do that but the extra work to carry it probably offsets the benefit of the water and with my luck I would overdevelop one side of my strides unless I shifted the bottle back and forth exactly right...

I need to go mow the backyard may kill me...

State: no it is on its (at least) third incarnation. We ran at Macallister College in St. Paul. Then it went to Blaine MN, and now it's at Hamline University in St. Paul.
Iron: I've been feeding her two kinds of iron regularly since her last check up, but I'm not sure it's been helping.
Hartley: No, Rock Hill has another name I never use-Bagley Nature Area (no, not Bagwell) and Hartley is another park...very big in the center of the city...pretty wild and many square miles in size. Tons of trails, but mostly single-track. Rock Hill has a 8' wide woodchip path. You can connect to them just by crossing Arrowhead Rd (which you've run a bazillion times.)

So it still wood chips...I remember that...I'm jealous of Harley...I need soft slightly uneven surface for my horrible crappy choppy also keeps me from thinking about my stride....

I think vitamin C helps with absorbing that...also a lot of vitamin c's are just ascorbic acid and not truly vitamin c...even some that that say pure vitamin c when you look at label it says ascorbic know more about this stuff than me but tossing in my two cents

Yeah...she takes that Emergen-Cee powder in water with her iron. It has 1000 mg C, B vits, and trace minerals.
