If you've got it flaunt it :-)
In the hot muggy season (yeah I know we don't have it that bad up here) I often run topless- more comfortable with out feeling soggy.
I was thinking of doing it in summer races, makes sense from a utilitarian point of view, but not the 'flaunting' type generally:), concerned about sun exposure - have scar tissue from burns which I am self-conscious about and also had a strange came-and-went skin ailment that may have left skin more vulnerable.
I'll probably go with a light singlet this Wed . . . even the technical fabric in a full T shirt holds a ton of water . . . you gonna show up Wed at Maplewood? I should probably shoot for a 7:00 pace with Group 3 and let me ego take a hit, rather than suffer and get dropped from Group 2. I'm planning a 3x1T JD workout anyway if the track clears out. I think it will take awhile for all six or seven groups to complete the TT. Not sure if they run them concurrently.
Two years ago, they ran the fastest group first, then descending order.
I'd be there, but I already got my fill of racing in 90 deg last weekend. At least Columbia has one of the cleanest air indexes in the country!
I did that same workout two years ago, ran the first w group 2, 6:15, 3R, 2nd with group 3, 7:02, 3R, third w slowest group, 7:18.
sounds like Group 3 is it then . . .
how many groups are there? why not run as many miles w groups as you can, let them pull you through the workout.
something like six or seven groups . . . I suppose that could work, have to see how they run it . . . so two years ago they ran one group at a time? I would have to start with Group 3 the 7:00 minute pace . . then finish with Group 5? yeah, I guess I have sunk that low. terrible blow to the old ego. Group 5, geesh. why even run then? I should be out walking my dog. I have to buy a dog first. maybe I could start a dog-walking business. do you have any neighbors who need their dogs walked?
dogs really need to be RUN. Is almost criminal that most dogs dont get to run:)
