Sean:
I'll copy that into a blog post next week and tag Pyga in on it too. Hope to have my own thoughts after the weekend if I get a spin in Union Woods.

What is extra special about the Pyga over the trek -- suspension system you didn't have before?

Hey - Higher grade suspension system, shorter backstay, stiffer frame, tiny stem and wide handlebars, higher spec mechs, 26 vs 29.

Trek is a 2009 6500 HT and the Pyga is a 2014 FS 29. They weigh about the same but handle completely differently.

The second long segement brown trail vantage pt back to trail head, Ive done many times and I generally give about 40 mins to do it on the trek. Ive gone faster than 40 no doubt but not 35mins. There are a lot of rockt rooty sections that slow the trek but the Pyga ghosted over. Partly due to the FS but also due to the way you can shift the bike around to hit a different line quickly
