Maybe about 6-7 years ago for a few years, maybe 3. Cutting out all chocolate/caffeine in the 3 hours before I ran which seemed to help - doctors found nothing. Don't seem to get it any more, maybe I don't try as hard.
Last occurence I had was first run after 3 months off with that post-viral syndrome. Hadn't had any caffeine and ran about 40 minutes enjoying every second and then bammo. Went and bought an HRM and it hasn't happened since.
Good to hear that it can just disappear. It's been very irregular for me, maybe 6 times in 2 years or something like that, but with no obvious triggers as yet (though maybe I haven't been looking for the right things).
Quite scary reading Neil's account of his problems, but the doctor really doesn't seem that concerned and I think the symptoms are rather different anyway.
Yep, very similar to my frequency - although if I ate a lot of chocolate then played frisbee on a hot day, I could just about guarantee it happening. It was a bit scary.
My dad had a similar think (symptom wise) and it turned out to be a short circuit somewhere in his heart, they just blasted it away. You can ask him for all the gory detail in a few weeks.
