Is here to stay for a while. Welcome home.
I thought August was supposed to come in August. Last year June was pretty cool.
We usually get a break in August; the inverse of the February thaw. First week of July is usually the peak for both heat and dew point, but air quality continues to degrade until early August. Anyway, I only have to put up with it for 10 days and then I'm off to CO, so I'll not complain too much.
....until you get to 10 000' in Leadville! And you'll wish for some of that thick St Louis air, as polluted as it might be. :-)
Nope. I do great at altitude. Some of my best results are in thin air. That's not to say I'll do great at Silver Rush, just that altitude won't be the issue.
Whatever genetic material makes that possible obviously got passed along to Yaya. She and I were running around quite vigorously at 14.4 last summer and she had no problem with it.
