Sounds like fun. That is one of my favorite places.

Quite fun. Dennis’ idea. We were fearful of the grasses having grown too high, but that turned to not be a problem.

I think it should provide some confidence. We (individually, we were together for only two brief moments) were moving at a pace much faster than if one were course setting and still managed to identify almost all of the control sites with a fair degree of certainty, even though the control sites were, e.g., "one meter boulder" in an area where there were many 1m boulders and many more 0.5 - 0.8m boulders not on the map. Well done, I'd say ;-) The problem for me was more not being able to move through the terrain with any sort of speed, though there were 3 or 4 places in the latter part of the course where I was able to pick it up to a half-way decent pace. I'm hoping that the excitement of competition will inspire us to move a little faster.
