for sprint, you can use my old map of ggpark or ask Vlad for one.
There is also good public transit from our house to downtown Oakland (10 min walk to Bart).
Vlad has provided me with a bunch of maps already. I'm aiming for more urban stuff, since I get a lot of park practice around here. Need buildings and fences and passageways!
I'll probably take the BART to Oakland, but need to find a way to hide my backpack and run at Berkley or whatever, and then show up to work all sweaty and pretend like I just showered...
I will join your 3x10 minutes after the wedding (although that feels terribly optimistic for me, with cleaning and breakfast in the morning (food always comes first in my head!)).
Yay! How about Friday afternoon long run?
I am going to be doing a shorter Friday afternoon run plus hike while Alex finishes, if that option works. My new program starts with 25 mins max cardio - eep!
you can run on the trails after 11am on Sunday. We just need to be off site by 11 & cleaned up (so no more showers). But the trails are in park land. Also some nice (shorter) trails near the ocean. And jump in the ocean after to rinse off.
It looks like Friday afternoon is midsummer games - I don't want to miss that!
I'm supposed to do 30' progression on Friday and long on Subday but I suppose it's swappable. OTOH, we'll be in no rush on Sunday, yeah? And easier to run long and easy after a fun-filled weekend. :-)
I'm not in a rush Sunday afternoon, but it looks like Alex does eventually have to catch a flight.
Our flights aren't till the evening, don't think Alex is before 9. We were going to hang out with SGB Sunday afternoon though.
We were planning to split up cooking from cleaning for meals...so you guys can head out straightaway on a long run...after lunch & before midsummer games!
Looking at the schedule, breakfast isn't until 9am. I'm on east coast time... I'll probably do my long run before breakfast. Would love company! Considering I'll have two hard days running on sprint maps Weds-Thurs, I'd rather hold off on intervals til Sunday.
But I've never been one to say no to multiple long runs in a weekend :)
