Last year I went through 70 oz in the first 2 hours, then another 70 oz after refilling at hour 4. This year I did about 50 oz in first 3 hours, and another 50 oz over the last 5 hours, but carried 100 oz. (1L = 34 oz)

2 differences for me were: Temp was about 10F cooler this year, with about 50% less humidity than last year. Also, I've been working on not over drinking to minimize pit stops and appease the partner...

About 11:45 pm, I was wishing for a Quarter Nitrogaine...... In all seriousness, a 2 hour version would be great for first-timers and families with 'tweens where staying up past midnight (but not until 3 am) would be a fun adventure.
And yes, an O meet with bike drops would be a neat crossed my mind a couple times when I was picking up flags. It adds another layer of complexity to route choices.
This was a good event, and I appreciate the work that goes into making it happen.

Middy and I were also talking about how you might be able to attract more people by doing/adding some other events like a bike-o, a 2, 4, or maybe 6 hour day time rogaine, etc. That way people can make a whole day (and night) of it they want to. Not sure how many extra cp's you might have to hang, but since you're already out there, maybe it's worth the efforts.

Mr Wonderful:
Good points, Heidi and Middy!

I was also mulling a daytime event, you know, for the novelty it. Several parks could probably cover a ~4-6 hour daytime event, and one has a catering option. Perhaps a Chill replacement? Although for the next ~2 years I have to temper for school.
