Was looking forward to your report and sounds like an interesting event. Sorry about the ticks and ivy, not cool at all. Would you recommend the event to, say someone like me?

For someone like you I would recommend therapy. :-P

It's a very well-organized race, and fun to race in a different area. Both years I have been so surprised at how nice the natural areas in that region are. It's worth checking out for sure.

Added to the list for next year. Therapy doesn't work for this kid. Perhaps the shock type might work.

I live here and am impressed how the organizers string together the bits and pieces of natural areas scattered throughout this banana belt county. I can think of 2 notable paddling areas we haven't been in yet. There are also at least 4 more fairly significant (for this area) wooded areas to explore. But still not many contour lines to cross ;)

That sounds like quite the adventure. Don't like the sounds of all the! Sorry to hear the P.I. is back. Ugh..
