And whipped out the one's who didn't vote your way?
I can't believe they don't have voting boxes the size of the voting slip so you didn't have to fold it...and then some poor soul has to unfold them to count them. Daft.
Why haven't we gone electronic?????
I suppose all this voting is heading us back into the dark ages anyway.... :-(
Well I have accurately predicted the result of all the main votes of the last few years just by people's inability to "hide" their voting preference when they put the ballot paper in the box. Maybe folding it a few more times might be an idea??!!
It's really hard (read: expensive) to make electronic anywhere near as secure as the current format is.
More expensive than payment of staffing and loss of productivity (Will excluded 'cos he doesn't do any work anyway) of staff away from their normal jobs x X years of use? Anyway, such decisions shouldn't be monetary based - the main reason why we're always screwing things up!!!
If only you had 1.2m unused voting slips you could have been a national hero!
Our nation struggles to trust the old pencil and paper voting system, there's no way it would trust a computerised button press system... everyone would believe it was rigged before the start.
Fraser P. I think the nation (e.g. Scotland) did a good job all on its own. Next time it may be a different story however.
Ali - totally agree. I took my own pens for all the folk who think pencil gets rubbed out....and there were lots!!
