You may not see this before heading to the start line, but Good Luck! I hope you have a great race!
You'll be awesome....
... or, perhaps... you were awesome!! since the start is imminent..
Have a great time out there! We will keep our fingers crossed for a lightning-free race!
Bash made the first difficult cut-off in 5:52 it appears. Whew, she was worried about that one.
Yay Bash! Have an awesome and safe race:)
Tim made it through around 5:09, Dee and MsGally at 5:26
Text from Bash: 39km in 6:10, feeling great. Slippery rocks on downhills with huge cliffs beside the trail at some spots.
The Pretty River Valley section of the Bruce Trail will just seem so boring now :)
Bash through cimabinche 15:05 race time.
Cut-off at Galina 9:30pm, 20:30 race time.
Storm and 'Bent finished Cortina Trail 8hrs, Browner 9:30.

Barb through Galina (94k) with 25 min to spare after taking refuge from thunderstorms. Looking good!
Barb made the cut-off at Passo Giau with 25 min to spare. She has just over 5 hrs to finish and it's 16km. In good spirits but stomach a bit dicey.
Awesome! She'll need some mister noodles and pickle juice at the finish :-)
.... I suppose mr noodles would be outlawed over there?? :(
The race website shows her finished with a time of 28:57:12! Wahoo!
Yep, Bash finished last night with over an hour to spare.
Dee and MsGally finished in just over 26 hours.
awesome job, gang! Now go eat more pizza and drink more wine!
Thanks, all! I thought my race was over when I arrived at Col Gallina in an intense thunderstorm. I'd pushed hard in the previous leg to get a 75 min cushion over the cut-off but I stopped for 50 mins until the lightning moved on. Unlike last year, the organizers left lightning decisions up to the racers. That stop made the rest of the race tougher and it was a bit disappointing not to get my "real" result but it was an overwhelmingly positive experience and a spectacular race course. Highly recommended!
Wow, that sounds like it added to the excitement/pressure - pushing to get a nice 75 minute cushion but then having it cut down to 25 minutes. Way to persevere! That can be draining to race with the added concerns of time cut-offs.
PS. Congrats on a great performance!
We are up to 3 gelatos now. I think there will be at least one more but my main focus here has been pasta!
Only 3?? The Italians must be devastated - they specifically stocked up on gelatos when they heard you were coming...
One more today in Florence! And we are getting two scoops of different flavours each time.
