What a great day for you! Congrats on putting it all together!
I have to ask about the podium picture: are those "podium guys"? If so, I whole-heartedly agree with this concept!
Well done. I just can't imagine doing a triathlon. Kudos to you for all your training and prep. Congrats on the podium finish! That's just icing on the cake.
And I love the race tee shirt (assuming that's what the gray with the pink swirly stuff is). Love swirly stuff.
Bravo! You did so great! And, thanks for the race report and pics...especially the hunky one.
Not bad! You kick ass :-)
Those "podium guys" were firefighters from the Denver firefighter calendar. They also manned the water stations. Quite fine.
And, yes, that is the race shirt, and it's one of the nicest ones I've seen.
Good for you for doing the race, but mainly good for you for doing the training leading up to the race. That's the hard part.
So who would be chosen if there was a need for "podium guys" from within the O' community? :-)
Ooh, I don't think we have any good contenders for podium guys. :-(
Oh, maybe some juniors. I honestly haven't paid a lot of attention to them ... or young seniors for that matter. Hmm, I really need to think about this ...
Yeah, I certainly wasn't thinking of guys of my or your generation...
I remember once having a conversation with a couple of orienteering friends of mine who have taste in men, where we went through the ranking list and they picked out the ones who would qualify. Those particular choices may have moved out of the "podium guy" category, but surely we must have some new candidates?
Woo! Way to go! And wetsuit-puller-offers? Brilliant.
Way to go!
I was also wondering about the podium guys. Glad maprunner had already asked so that my curiosity was quickly satisfied.
I'm late to the party due to vacation. After all the training you've put in, it's awesome to see you had such a great result - and that you felt pretty good for most of the race. Congratulations! :)
