how many gears does your bike have in the back? Maybe we can get you a less aggressive cluster.

9 in the back, we will see I think current set is 11,12,13, ... 23, I could be wrong

fairly aggressive. Also check how man teeth in your big rings. Aleck is getting wisdom teeth out this weekend so we will not be riding. you could use his. His gearing is much more suited for the hills around here. It would be a good fit for you. . A bunch of us are talking about an 80 mile ride Sunday. From GW bridge to top of bear mountain and back

I think 80 miles is a bit too much for me at the moment, what time frame, though?

80 miles along 9W to top of bear mountina. there are some solid hills. Depending on the crew, we would be looking at 6-7 hours ride time and about 30 minutes rest.

or we can do our own ride. there are countless options we can do. also i have been talking about a 15 or 20 mile trail run with anna. we would have to take it easy because she is still recovering from the hand surgery. she cant afford to fall on it.
also there is some renovation work in bathroom to do.
bottom line- plenty to fill up the entire weekend

I like trail run/hike much better than 80 miles biking. When shell I come - Saturday or Sunday? I will bring a bike anyway, to keep our options open.
