Orienteering is an "old dude" sport and I'm still one of the young guys, so having an event where the tables are turned and we're old is refreshing for once.
Also, SART will start to balance out I reckon as more registrations come in...
I started playing bridge lately, and I gotta admit it's nice being called "youngster" at ever tournament when I'm 36. :)
Whoa, you just picked up bridge and orienteering at the same time? Did you also buy a Buick and start taking Metamucil? ;-)
I played Bridge in high school before it was cool and trendy...
Hehe to be fair, I started playing bridge a year ago because of a cute woman I was dating at the time...it just happened to stick. I have been yelling "get off my lawn" a lot though ;)
Hmm, my parents taught my brother & I bridge when we were elementary school kids. They told my sister she'd need to know bridge for when she was in college, because "everyone" would be playing and looking for a fourth. Yeah, that didn't happen. She never learned & I don't think it ruined her social life.
