Hopefully a big one (usually harmless). It's the little guys we have to watch out for. They travel on migrating birds so you can get one anywhere but it shouldn't be a regular thing at GHL.

Don't know what kind. Probably about 4 mm long.

If it was that big and wasn't engorged, it was probably a dog tick - the better one to get, if you have to get one!

Good to know. I think it was still looking for a place to bury it's head. I thought it was a scab or some dirt from my run and when I scratched at it, it fell off. It was hanging on pretty good though!
