On TBT, you, Michael and Edward all make the same error by getting to the control slightly left then hooking further left. Ivan and I on the other hand both drifted one way or the other - me left and him right - before correcting at the track.

Incidentally, the map on TBT is still the old version - I'll hopefully have time to update it tonight.

Yeah I noticed my time loss at #9 apparently involved running right past the White Gum, which I didn't notice in the terrain since it was not on the map. If it had been on the map, I might have lost less time :-)

But clearly if you didn't notice it in the terrain it wasn't significant, and should never have been mapped? :)

Maybe it was because it was near a rock with a control next to it and that drew my eye instead. Hell, I didn't even notice the clearings I was apparently running through on the way to #9!

It's interesting the three of us did almost the exact same thing. I read the vegetation wrong on the way in; it looks like the other two may have had the same problem.

I got to the control right behind Eddie but didn't see which way he came from. Apparently from the south! I realised where I was on the way there when I saw the big rock to the SE, east of the track. Shame I couldn't read the rest of the map as accurately.
